Musical Glow of Midnight

Published in the Anthology Wollondilly Ink brought out by Wollondilly Branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers in 2012

Hiding in music
Raindrops fall around me
Walking through the blue light of midnight

Choir of shadows behind me
sing an accompaniment

Hearing a thunderstorm approaching
deep in the baseline

Rumbling from my fingers
growing louder

Flashes of lightning
brighten the night time glow

Enveloped by the rushing water
created with a song

Tuned into the sound
connected to the piano
Escaping the world through a composition of my own
